Lawrence Tarrell

Lawrence R. Tarrell, 91, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with burial in St. Christina Catholic Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-3:00pm at the Tieszen Memorial Home Chapel, Marion. Lawrence Russell Tarrell was born on April 18, 1919 near Canistota, SD to Ray M. Tarrell and Gustina (Zurhoff) Tarrell. On January 9, 1946 he was united in marriage to Regina M. Weber at Parkston, SD. They lived and farmed in the Canistota area their entire life. Regina died on February 14, 2003. For the past seven years Lawrence has been a resident of the Marion Assisted Living. Lawrence is survived by three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Regina, and a son, Allen.
