Alberta Ann Kleinsasser (Drost) was born January 3rd 1938 in Marion SD to Carl & Mildred Drost. Alberta attended rural country school north of Parker until attending school in Parker graduating high school in 1956. After graduating from Parker high school Alberta worked in Sioux Fall SD at the Dime store which was located downtown Sioux Falls, where Alberta also lived for a short time.

On July 5, 1958 she was united into marriage in Monroe SD to Leland Kleinsasser of Freeman SD. Alberta and Leland lived southwest of Marion where the couple farmed, milked cows and like all small farms raised chickens, along with raising 2 boys David Lee Kleinsasser & Timothy Dean Kleinsasser.

In 1971 the family moved to Monroe SD, where they would in time take over the Monroe Cafe. After 30 years of owning the Monroe Snack Shop (Monroe Cafe) Alberta was diagnosed with cancer & chose to sell the business to focus on her health. Alberta always gave credit & thanks to Dr Myles Tieszen for finding the cancer at an early stage allowing for the treatment and living many more years. Alberta was an avid bowler at Bowlway Lanes in Marion SD for many years with her Monroe Snack Shop sponsored bowling team. Alberta was happy to Sponsor the Monroe Snack Shop softball team. Alberta was able to get to meet so many people over the 30 years in the cafe and always had a smile on her face and did her best to get around to visit with all customers as they finished their meals just to see how everything tasted. Alberta always said it took a great group of employee's to make it 30 years and their loyal customers in a small community. Alberta always said that they run a working Man (person) cafe with large servings & always home made meals & Buns. Alberta also over the year found a way to bake rolls that became a favorite to all in the community and as far way as California.

After 42 years of living in Monroe Alberta moved to Marion SD where she made new friends and kept in touch with friends of many years and enjoyed talking or just checking in with them & they would do the same for her.

Grateful for having to share her life are her son Tim (Renee) Kleinsasser, Tyndal, SD; 4 grandchildren, Justin Kleinsasser, Teresa Johnson, Jaydan Kleinsasser, and Jessica Willey; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leland, son David, her parents and in laws, Joe and Anna Kleinsasser, and a brother in law, Jerome Kleinsasser.
