Arlon Knock, 72, of Tea, SD, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Ava’s House Hospice in Sioux Falls, SD, following a courageous four-year battle with cancer. Arlon George Knock was born on October 29, 1952, to George and Marion Knock. He grew up and lived in the Tea area all his life. Arlon graduated from Lennox High School in 1970 and subsequently served in the United States Army. Upon returning home from service, he worked at Hunting Elevator Tea, SD, for eight years before returning to the family farm west of Tea. For the next 29 years, Arlon farmed and milked cows with his father, George.

On April 29, 1977, Arlon married the love of his life, Sandy (Stockwell) Knock. They would go on to raise three children on the family farm. When the decision was made to sell the milk cows, Arlon went to work for Nelson Feed and Nutrition Services in Parker, SD. He spent the remaining working years of his life delivering feed and farming. Arlon was a devoted member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, where he held many service positions throughout the years. He was an active member of the Tea American Legion. Arlon never met a stranger, because they would be friends by the time the conversation was done. He was a devoted husband and father. Arlon loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. His relationship with God helped him through the loss of his wife. He always said it was his family that got him through, but it was Alron that helped so many.

Arlon was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, his parents, and his son-in-law, Luke Kruger. Grateful for having shared his life are his children and grandchildren, Matt (Tonya Moe) Knock of Tea; Kelley Kruger, Chloe of Freeman; Tom (Kristen) Knock, Ryder, Riley, and Eli of Alcester; sister Marlene Plucker of Tea; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends.
