Beverly Huber

Beverly Huber, 82 of Viborg, passed away on March 19, 2026 at the Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Viborg. Memorial Service will be at 10:30 Friday, March 27, 2026 at Spring Valley Lutheran Church, Viborg. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Spring Valley Lutheran Cemetery.   

Beverly Jane Huber was born to Bert and Allegra (Neilsen) Jorgensen in Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton South Dakota, on April 21, 1943. At the age of 82, she died peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Viborg South Dakota.

Beverly grew up on a farm in Yankton County with her two sisters where her father was born and oldest son Kevin and Lori own/operate. She attended grade school at District 35, Mayfield Country School and high school in Viborg South Dakota. Beverly married on December 1961 and to this union, three sons were born. Kevin, Jon, and Neil. She was a faithful member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and served in every capacity she could, and had recently become a member of Spring Valley Lutheran Church.

Beverly’s professional life centered on the farm, K-Mart Store, operated her own home improvement business, and professional friend maker. She worked very hard at all her positions and was admired by many for her dedication and competence. Throughout her life, Bev (Grandma K-Mart) enjoyed attending sporting events and other activities involving first, her children, then grandchildren, and lastly, great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending her time gardening, traveling, card games with her cousins, and living at Swan Lake. She loved her time by the lake and sharing her home with friends and family.

Bev will be remembered for her tremendous capacity to LOVE her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We have felt blessed beyond measure to have her as a mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

Beverly is survived by her children: Kevin (Lori), Jon (Brenda), Neil (Dawn), and special Danish daughter Elly (Bjarne); 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and was looking forward to two additional great-grandchildren due this August and September. She was preceded in death by her parents, and both of her sisters and bother in-laws.
