Beverly Togel

Beveryly Togel, 86 of Marion, formerly of St. Paul, MN, passed away on June 8, 2026 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 15, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hurley. Burial will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Somerset, WI. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.

Beverly Ann Togel was born on July 10, 1939 in St. Paul, MN to Cleo and Mabel (Ball) Rife. She is a twin with sister Barb, joining sister Marianne and later by sister Patty. Bev graduated from Wilson High School in St Paul in 1957.

On November 19, 1960, Beverly was united in marriage to Wilmer Togel in Minneapolis, MN. To this union they had three children Jeanette, Ed, and Lori. She worked Byerly’s Grocery Store in Golden Valley for 23 years in the bakery. Wilmer passed in 1992. On February 14, 2006 she was united in marriage to Charles Daniel. They lived in Florida until Charles passed in 2014. In 2015 she moved to Marion, SD, to be near her daughter.

Beverly loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of her hobbies included sewing and fishing. Beverly loved to quilt, and she gave many to those in need. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Beverly will be missed. She is survived by her children Jeanette Schoenwald, Ed (Sue) Togel, and Lori (Steve) Bullard; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Kastmer; nieces, nephews, and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Cleo and Mabel Rife, husbands Wilmer Togel and Charlie Daniel, sisters Patty and Marianne, and son-in-law Allen Schoenwald.
