Connie Andal, 89 of Parker, passed away surrounded by her family on November 29, 2025 at the Centerville Care and Rehab Center. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.
Constance "Connie" Susan Andal was born on April 11, 1936, in Beresford, S,D to Leo and Maude (Doty) Reinartz. She was the second of 5 children. She joined Phyllis and later came Harold "Butch". Two brothers died in infancy.
She graduated from Beresford High School in 1954. At the end of her senior year, while working at a local cafe in Beresford, she met Elmer Andal. On June 4, 1954, Connie and Elmer were united in marriage. They lived in Beresford and Sioux Falls before settling in the Parker area in 1960. Each move, they welcomed another child into their family. To this union, 5 children were born: Kim, Steve, Lori, Scott, and Susan. After 32 years raising their kids, and all had graduated, they moved to Worthing. Elmer passed away in July 1995. After his death, Connie moved to Sioux Falls. Later years, she spent a lot of time with a special friend, Bob Bossman, doing some traveling and the occasional camping with family.
In the early 80s, Connie went back to school to become an LPN through Southeast Vocational Technical School. As an LPN, she worked at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion, the Good Samaritan Center in Lennox, and the VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls. After an injury on the job, she worked her last years as a ward secretary at the VA, where she retired in 2000.
After living several years in Sioux Falls, she moved back to Parker in 2015 and spent her remaining years living with Susan and Jason. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family, going to many of her grandkids and great-grandkids' events. She also enjoyed reading romance novels, watching Hallmark movies, and game shows.
Connie will be missed. She is survived by her children, Kim (Gary) Geiken of Lennox, Steve(Lynelle) of Brandon, Scott (Hope) of Salem, and Susan (Jason) Ludens of Parker; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Harold "Butch" (Melody) Reinartz of Worthing, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Maude Reinartz, husband Elmer, daughter Lori, granddaughter Victoria, sister Phyllis, and 2 brothers, George and Charles, both in infancy.
