Douglas Davidson

Doug Davidson, 70 of Lennox, passed away on May 1, 2026 at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls. A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 6, 2026 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Terry and Marlene's place in Lennox.

Douglas DeWayne Davidson passed away on May 1st 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

Douglas was born on October 22, 1955 to DeWayne and Bernyce Davidson. He was the oldest of three brothers. Douglas first grew up on a farm northeast of Parker. He attended Country School for his first 6 years, until his family moved to Lennox, SD in 1967. He graduated From Lennox High School in 1973.

Shortly after graduation, Douglas began his trucking career. Doug loved to drive truck, and he was always ready to hit the road-racking up millions of miles behind the wheel.

Douglas was married to Kim Stack on February 14, 1980. To this union they had their son Dustin.

After years of trucking Doug retired from it and went into construction. He retired in 2016. Douglas also enjoyed many years of hunting, especially for pheasants. He also enjoyed fast cars as he owned many of them in his lifetime. Doug was also a big fan of NHRA, never missing an event on TV.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his son Dustin Davidson; Granddaughter Brecklyn Davidson; Brother Terry (Marlene) Davidson; and special friends Renee and Mary. Doug was preceded in death by his parents DeWayne and Bernyce, and his brother Brent Davidson.

He will be missed, but in a better place.
