Jason Benson

Jason Benson, 51 of Inwood, IA, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2025. Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Calvary Reformed Church, Monroe. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.

Jason Todd Benson was born on June 5, 1974 in Rapid City, SD to Robert and Debra (Forney) Benson. He was later joined by little brother Corey. He graduated from Willmar High School.

After school he started working construction. He worked everything from framing to concrete work. He was employed at Select Concrete in Inwood, IA. When he wasn’t working, Jason enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and his dog, Bruno. Jason was proud to be Lucas’s uncle, spending time together playing games inside and outside.

Jason will be missed. He is survived by his mom Deb (Scott) Olson of Wentworth, SD; brother Corey (Shelly) Benson and their son Lucas of Parker; stepbrothers Chad (Kelly) Benson and Bob (Robin) Benson of Fon du Lac, WI; as well as many friends and co-workers. Jason was preceded in death by his dad Robert Benson, grandparents Sigurd and Pearl Benson and Alvin and Carol Forney, aunts Tami Forney and Nancy Griffith, and cousin Brady Forney.
