Joan Timmermann

Joan Timmermann, 82 of Sioux Falls, passed away on September 20, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Village, Sioux Falls. Per her wishes, she will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa, in the spring of 2027. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.

Joan was born on March 20, 1944 to Walter and Phyllis (Gosch) Rueber in Ute, Iowa. Joan lived in Danbury, Iowa and then moved to Worthington,MN in 1959. Joan graduated from Worthington High School in 1962. Joan got a job as a secretary for the Worthington school district, for CPA’s, Navy Chaplin and for Sanford in Florida. Joan married Dennis Timmermann on May 8, 1965 and parted ways in 2003. She was preceded in death by her former husband in 2017, her brother, Myron, in 1958 and her parents one in 1970 and 1972. Survived in death by two daughters and their spouses. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister and her family, in Minnesota.
