Nancy Ruland joined our Lord and Savior on August 27, 2026, following a car accident near her home in Parker, South Dakota.
Nancy owned and operated a natural healing clinic in Parker, where she lived with her lifelong friend, Kayla Copeland. A 1984 graduate of Stanley High School, Nancy pursued her education with a passion for learning, earning bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Veterinary Technology. In 1998, while working in Hunter, North Dakota, she discovered her true calling in the field of natural healing as a Reflexologist. Throughout her career, Nancy pursued numerous certifications and advanced trainings in natural healing, dedicating her life to helping others on their journey toward improved health and wellness.
Nancy was a passionate, caring, and compassionate person who touched the hearts and lives of many people across the years and throughout many states. She was known for her strong will, intensity, and determination, bringing remarkable focus and attention to every task she undertook. Nancy was deeply convicted in her beliefs and passionate about the things she held dear. Once she set her mind to something, she pursued it with unwavering determination. Those who knew and loved Nancy understood that her determination was another expression of her strength, independence, and fierce commitment to bettering the human condition.
She had a deep love for her family, her pets, and most especially, her beloved mules.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, and a nephew. She will be deeply missed by her many friends, siblings, godchildren, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as the many people whose lives she touched with her kindness, compassion, and caring spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to your local emergency response teams in honor of Nancy.
