Tera Kay Dangel-Marshall, 73 of Yankton, SD, passed away January 13, 2026 unexpectedly while on vacation in Las Vegas, NV.  A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 16, 2026 at St. Boniface-Idlywilde Catholic Church. Burial and luncheon to follow the Mass. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral.

Tera Kay Dangel was born January 10, 1953 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD to Albert and Geraldine Dangel of Hurley, SD. Tera was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface-Idylwilde Catholic Church, rural Freeman, SD. Tera attended Hurley Public School K-12 grades. After high school Tera moved to Yankton and was employed by M-Truns until 1971 when she joined the US Army. While serving our country, Tera attended school and obtained her RN degree. Living on base at Ft Benning, GA, Tera married Sgt Lanny Savoie. Later they were stationed in San Antonio, TX. Tera worked at the Methodist Hospital systems as a RN, Director of Nursing and later their computer tech. Tera retired in 2016. While living in San Antonio Tera married Glenn Marshall in 2001. Glen passed away in April of 2024.

Tera remained in San Antonio until May of 2025 when she moved back to Yankton, SD to be close to family. While her short time in Yankton, Tera made many wonderful friends, joining the Senior Citizens Center and Housewives of Yankton County. Tera's passion was found in her many craft talents. Her specialty was greeting cards. Those lucky enough to receive one, never threw them away.

Tera and Glenn loved to travel. Several trips to Alaska, Las Vegas, cruises to Europe and her many sewing conventions in the us.

Her latest trip, and final trip, was to Las Vegas to see "The Wizard of Oz” at The Sphere! With her sister Sandy. Just one day prior she had booked another Alaskan cruise with her sister Sandy and brother in law Gregg, leaving June 1, 2026.

Feeling blessed for sharing her life are her brothers Joseph (Tammy) Dangel of Lennox, Glenn Dangel of Sioux Falls, Scott (Jill) Dangel of Hurley, sister Sandy (Gregg) Hanson, Yankton; brother in law Don Marshall of Houston, Tx; 10 nieces and nephews; many friends, cousins and her special, long term friends in San Antonio, Tx. Tera was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, her parents, brother Russell Dangel, and at birth a twin sister.
